Professional Experience Ms. Oliver assists clients in designing and implementing resolutions to family disputes that protect their assets and consider future implications of their legal dispute. Working with clients in families of all descriptions she is experienced in the areas of adoption, guardianship, separation, divorce, support, prenuptial and post nuptial agreements and settlement agreements. An experienced litigator, Ms. Oliver is also extensively involved in Collaborative Practice to assist clients who seek a healthy resolution to the crisis of divorce, dissolution and break-up.
I served as an intern in the CINA Unit at the Legal Aid Bureau while in law school, clerked for the Honorable Carol E. Smith in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, testified for a victim in a domestic violence case, served as an Assistant State's Attorney in Baltimore County, and worked as an attorney and partner at the law firm of Hodes, Pessin and Katz, P.A., prior to starting my own practice focusing on family law. These experiences, along with my experience as a wife and mother, shaped my desire to work with families in the legal arena. I am also the Minister of Music at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Woodlawn, Maryland. Music nourishes my soul.
