Karen Robbins   | Attorney
KRobbins.jpgIn her solo practice, Karen helps families in transition restructure their family and move forward with their lives in a way that preserves relationships and protects the children.  She believes that divorce is not an end to the family; it is an event that changes the family structure. Her collaborative practice enables families to restructure in a respectful, private and civilized manner.

Karen graduated from the University of Richmond, Magna Cum Laude, in 1988, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.  At the University of Miami School of Law from where she graduated in 1988, Karen was a member of the Law Review and the Order of the Coif Honor Society.  Since 1994, she has practiced law exclusively in the area of family law.  Karen was among  the first practitioners trained in Collaborative Practice in Maryland.  Karen is the current Co-President of the Maryland Collaborative Practice Council and a Past President of her practice group.  Karen is also a trainer in Collaborative Practice, and a principal in the Collaborative Practice Training Institute.
